RedLine Milwaukee began its fifth year in October, a benchmark confirming the transformation from a “startup”non-profit to an established contributor to art and art education communities.

RedLine Milwaukee Has Changed People’s Lives

1)Max attends Lynde and Harry Bradley Technology and Trade High School and arrives early on Saturday mornings for Open Studio, because his school does not offer art classes; RedLine is the only place Max can make his art.

2) A mother and her children who were temporarily homeless and receiving services from the Salvation Army’s Emergency Lodge and RedLine attended a SHELTER program, after which she responded, “I felt as if my worries were gone.”

3) An 8th grade student from Humboldt Park Charter School attended an ARTPRENTICE program and wrote “I was so excited to learn about different kinds of art from real artists in Milwaukee.

4) A young adult attending RedLine’s free CONTEMPORARY Teen Night wrote, “It gave me a chance to do artwork without worrying about a grade.”

5) Alumni resident artist Melanie Ariens exclaimed, “RedLine really helped me with the nuts and bolts of being a professional artist. I am making a larger impact by working with community members in a creative way.”

Unlike any other art community, RedLine Milwaukee’s exhibitions, residency, education, and outreach programs contribute to the health and vitality of art and life in Milwaukee.

And this important work can only continue if you help us.
