Organizational Statement:

RedLine is about connecting artists with their future. It sets up the proposition that the status quo is more dangerous than delving into the unknown. To cross the red line is to lose the inhibitions that may hold an artist back, while gaining support systems to excite the senses and realize one's dreams.

RedLine is about the tangible benefits of education and training, and the emotional benefits of connectivity, respect, and satisfaction. It's a place for many-collectors, curators, and the public-but at the heart of its reason for being is the artist.

Lori Bauman and Steve Vande Zande are the founders of RedLine Milwaukee. They are both artists and educators. They have experienced first hand the connectiveness of working collaboratively within an artist community and have witnessed the emotional growth and esteem building of teens by teaching art outreach programs. Their goal since 2001 has been to bring artists and teens together, giving them an environment that facilitates their personal and professional growth and promotes visual literacy.

RedLine Milwaukee, in affiliation with the Denver group, will be located at 1422 North 4th Street. Like the Denver location, the building will offer a unique space that encourages artists and visitors alike to enter a realm where inspiration remains absolutely unchecked, to bring art and beauty to the surrounding neighborhood and community by incorporating as many environmentally friendly nuances as possible.
