From the Basement | The Printshop Blog
RedLine Milwaukee’s in-house “green” community Printshop offers the city a traditional printmaking facility, fully equipped for intaglio, callograph, relief, monoprint, silkscreen, and photo lithography. Weekly Open Studio sessions are offered for artists and community members, and RedLine’s resident artists, teens, and student programs make use of the Shop, too. The Printshop, run by local printmaker and teaching artist Kim Weiss, ensures that the Milwaukee community has access to the rich media of printmaking.
Open Studio Sessions
Open Studio is available for experienced printmaking artists in the community to use the RedLine Printshop equipment and facilities. To qualify for Open Studio you must first attend an informational Printshop orientation. It is encouraged for participants to bring a resume of educational or practical experience in printmaking and some examples in the printmaking media in which you are planning to work. RSVP for orientations at redlineprintshop@gmail.com
