RedLine Milwaukee is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, an urban laboratory that seeks to nourish the individual practice of contemporary art and to stimulate the creative potential of the local community to which we are linked. Through residency, education, outreach and challenging exhibition programs with a focus on social issues, RedLine inspires and impacts new generations of cultural and civic transformers.

JOB SUMMARY: RedLine Milwaukee’s Programs Manager is a full-time position, reporting to the Executive Director. The Program Manager oversees the coordination and administration of all aspects of ongoing programs including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and implementing program activities. Redline’s Programs Manager will manage Redline’s existing programs, which include Education, Artist-in-Residence, Exhibition, and Art Studio Labs Workshops and Membership. These programs focus on creating access points for diverse audiences, provide starting points for in depth discussion about current socially relevant issues, and create programs that foster personal and professional development for a diverse range of participants.

PRIMARY DUITES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan the delivery of the overall programs and activities in accordance with the mission and the goals of the organization
  • Assist the Executive Director and Board of Directors Programs Committee to develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the programs
  • Develop an annual budget and operating plan to support the programs
  • Develop a programs evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop funding and grant proposals for the programs to ensure the continuous delivery of services

STATUS-HOURS: Full-time, Exempt

Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Thursday and Friday 12:00PM – 8:00PM

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

University degree in a related subject

– Three to five years of demonstrated experience in the art education field particularly in developing and leading programs for youth and family audiences.

– Experience and enthusiasm for working with students, as well as multigenerational audiences.

COMPUTER EXPERIENCE: Word processing, Accounting, Databases, Spreadsheets, E-mail, and Internet
