Learn the basics of pulp preparation, sheet forming, pressing, and drying in this eco-friendly workshop. No experience is necessary, and all materials are provided. Participants will form their own sheets and explore the possibilities of embellishing their paper with stencils. Those with more experience may experiment with new techniques or develop continuing projects.

For participants who would like to further develop their own projects and work in our papershop on a more regular basis, RedLine offers open studio hours, available to Printshop Members. Tara Monnink is an artist who works in a variety of media, though she focuses mainly on papermaking, printmaking, and photography. She spent a large part of her adult life traveling throughout Asia before settling in Milwaukee. She is inspired by art history, architecture, nature and books. As a paper-maker, she is highly interested in experimenting with fruits and vegetable fibers, new materials and processes.
